My goal is to provide the highest quality behaviorally based therapeutic service to individuals, children, adolescents and families in the most caring environment possible. The environment will provide a supportive comfortable space to share experiences.
My journey into helping others was ignited when I experienced my own tragedy and loss. Experiencing tragedy firsthand coupled with the lack of adequate mental health support, ignited my passion and purpose to provide others with the missing support so desperately needed. During vulnerable times, it is crucial to feel safe, secure, and most importantly validated.
Sometimes life's journey is simply not fair and offers no explanation. However, it is possible to look back on what we see as the worst possible moment in our life and find the spark necessary to ignite the fire within ourselves, to burn down all obstacles holding us back from our best possible life. With a combination of direct evidence-based practices mixed with caring, strengths-based, client empowered perspective I will help find that spark and help light the path for your new journey.
My current specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex grief with kids, teens and adults.
Whether you seek to make a major change, are overcoming a traumatic experience, navigating through loss or other life challenges I will meet you where you are at on your journey. My goal is to offer unconditional support without judgment and a safe space for you to begin your new journey. In addition, I hold a Master's degree in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University and am currently specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders, depression, and complicated grief. In addition to counseling in the therapeutic setting, I co-host The For Paul Foundation's monthly "Line of Duty, Family Support" group, working with family members that have lost a loved one in the line of duty, volunteer with
Fire/EMS departments throughout the country to strengthen their mental health programs, and present on various topics regarding trauma and PTSD.
Lastly, I am currently the President and Founder of The For Paul Foundation, honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Service and serve as a member of the Weston YMCAs Advisory Council.
